Buckwheat

Gamecover Buckwheat a rapidly growing short term crop with seed which is highly attractive to partridge and pheasants and also acts as an early cover crop.

The large amount of nectar produced attracts bees and other insects which in turn provide a natural food source and interest for gamebirds.

Buckwheat is particularly useful as part of a blend due to it's bulkiness and it's ability to continue to provide holding cover and feed after the first frost when the seed crop will have fallen.

Buckwheat thrives best in a sunny site rather than shaded areas.

Best planted as part of a mixture.
